You can walk in the direction you came from (where you start) and press jump to fly in the air and get on top of the big blue rocks with the grass. This is with the boy on the first level after you talk to your grandpa. It might work with others too but i haven't tried it yet.

Just tried it again and it took me to the man. You don't actually have to press jump, it moves you in the air, but you do need to press the right key once you are high enough. You will want to get to the highest rock then jump.
