The desktop client allows you to navigate through all your favorite games in cover flow mode as well as thumbnail view, it's also blazing fast since it's on your desktop. You can use the app to record game play video, edit it and publish it to our community and youtube.com

Playedonline Desktop is still under development. Although it's stable to use, and poses no threat to your PC, it's still an alpha version and should be treated as one.
