Don't choose the green ever in normal or hard mode. The RED is the best most of the time, especially in hard mode.

You may ally with someone, and place large amounts of men on there border, from there you may blitzkrieg into there capital with minimal casulaties, the down side is you will most likely lose many citys you have uptained from that conqeur because you may not have units stationed near by.
Treatys with neighbors help to build up an army, but let them make the first move for it will raise your moral.
Blitzkrieg my friends, take the capital and you conquer them auto-maticly.
Get non sea ship citys. As soon as you concerd one
kingdom you sood be able to pack. This makes it be
on your side for a while. While its on your side I
Suggest to build up your forces. Then you should
be able to concer.

Alright, for starters, pick the team that has the
most cities near it. You want to quickly capture
as many cities as possible.
Gameplay
Basics:
your total attack is the moral+how
big your army is, for example, an army of 55 with
70 morale beats an army of 99 with 1 moral. So
keep this in mind and do not make your armies die.
Try to only fight fights you can win.
Next
you want to make sure to defend your cities. If
you lose your capital you lose, so make extra sure
not to lose it.
